Research into employees of the Metropolitan Water Board who were killed in World War 1. He was a Clerk, working in the head office in The Strand in London.Lionel John Pincombe was the husband of Rosa Pincombe, nee Rosa Cooper, niece of Thomas Huxtable Copper. They were married in April/May/June 1917 in this church.Lionel John Pincombe's remains are not buried here. He was killed during the battle of Passchendaele in Belgium on the 20th September 1917, but his body was not recovered.
